Breaking Bad Review 
Oral Presentation TDR

These two are the post that I am more proud.

The first one is about a review about a series called Breaking Bad which is a very well known for everybody who likes series.
I'm proud of it because I think that I did a very good synopsis, I mean that the structure is clear, the text shows personal opinions about the series and incentives you to what it.

The second one is my last oral presentation in this high school so that why I choose it, nevertheless I think that is in that presentation were I showed off all my speaking potential. It was almost everything improvised I think that I did it pretty well. I have to say that do this presentation was the easier  presentation in 2Bat, I almost didn't prepare anything because I already knew it from my TDR.

My ENGLISH PROGRESS from 2013-2015

1.1 Compare your first written document (email to teacher) and your last composition.

Comparing to my first written post ever (email to teacher) I can see huge different between my last post which is about reddit and the first one.
I remember myself when I rote the email to teacher I didn't know exactly what to write, I just said a lot of nonsense words actually. But by practising my English blogs I have improved a lot.
The structure of reddit's post is way better than the first one and this is because all the improvement that I have done during my blogs.

1.2 Compare your first oral presentation and your final oral presentation.

My first oral presentation was about the initiation ritual of Mafia. It was my first time ever I did a presentation with prezi and in English so I did many mistakes. I remember myself being so nervous about to speak in front the class that I had to memorize the entire text because I was really bad improvising and I didn't want my mind to go blank.
The last oral presentation was about my TDR, so I didn't had to memorize anything actually, I knew everything about my project so I improvised during the presentation (a thing that I have learned during Batxillerat) and I think that I did it pretty well. Of course I did mistakes but none of them were were that bad.

Reddit: the front page of the internet

Reddit is a web-site /entertainment / social network / news website  about what's new and popular on the web. If google is where you go to search for things. Reddit is where you go to see the things that people have found.

Reddit is not just a list about the cool/funny/interesting/educative things people find on the internet. Reddit is divided by sections called Subreddits. A subreddit is where people post only one kind of thing, for example : If you just like sports, politics, TV series, movies, jokes there is a subreddit about it , and if in the case you can't find a subbredit of your interest, Just create it.

For example "aww" is a subreddit where users post images for adorable photos about babys, animals etc. And more subreddits you're subscribed in more personalized is your front page about your interests.

Four dead after crash of a military plane A400M

Four people have died today in the crash of a military plane A400M, Airbus company, a mile north of the San Pablo Airport in Sevilla.

The only two survivors, Jose Luis Augusto and Joaquin Anaya, have been transferred to medical facilities in critical condition.

The Airbus's plane was doing its first fly ever when the plane suffered a problem in flight and tried to make an emergency landing, but it crashed into a pylon while the pilots were trying to land the plane.

We still don't know the cause of that emergency landing but I hope to know that information soon.

Many politics will come today at Sevilla to offer condolences to family victims.

Games of Thrones

This third trimester I saw a new series called "Games of Thrones". I started to saw it because my friends recommend it to me. I knew about this series, it is very famous, so I tried to gave it an opportunity and saw it.  At the beginning I was very aseptic, I thought it should be a typical medieval series with the classical fights etc. And one hour for each episode, a fact that it didn't give much hope with the series. But I saw it equally, and now I don't regret. Well the first episodes was quite boring but then the storyline it began to be more interesting.
The thing that I enjoy more is there isn't any main character. And that means every character can die by a fight or a conspiracy.
 When a character fights you are really afraid about it and this feeling I think it only happens in Games of Thrones.

Favourite Actors

There is a lot of Actors, Hot actors, Funny actors, Strong Actors, but every actor has his own life and act are they job.
I like a lot of actors  : Jim Carrey, Robert Downey Jr, Ellen Page, Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, Neil Patrick Harris, Morgan Freeman and a lote more.
But today I am going to talk about  Jim Carry and Robert Downey Jr and why I like them.

Jim Carrey : Jim Carrey is a famous comedian actor from Canada, known for his very crazy, funny and dramatic character on movies like : (Dumb and Dumber) (Liar liar ) (Truman Show) (Bruce Almighty) etc..
Jim is that kind of persona that makes you always your day. And that is why I like him.

Robert Downey Jr : Is a actor famous for his performances in Iron Man (2008), Avengers (2012) Sherlock Holmes (2009) He usually performance a man who is very clever, and with a very high self esteem.
Robert Downey Jr is a actor that everyone, who like Iron Man, loves and his eccentric personality.

Is Internet making the world a better place ?

Nowadays everybody in the first world has Internet and it's part of us, we made internet a part of our lives. We can't deny that Internet has lots of positive features as the tons of information we can obtain but the information overload makes difficult the search of the certain information.

The cloud storage is another positive and unique feature of the internet allowing us access and store our personal data and important files. However, hacker's attack can easily have access to it. Specially for the governments where an attack can make the system more vulnerable.

Entertainment is also a positive characteristic, youtube, chats, games, articles and e-commerce like amazon, ebay, netflix etc. allows us to buy anything without leaving home.

Although Internet piracy allows us to download movies, music, everything for free, stealing from the authors and the big companies. And the worst feature is the deepweb or the unseen web, this part of the worldwideweb, everything is anonymous so criminals use it for they business like drugs, pedophilia, terrorism etc.

In conclusion, Internet is making the world a better place and we have to be responsible to keep the positives facts and remove the bad ones.

I am a high school student and my name is Manel Ramirez.

 Let me begin by thanking you for reading this letter and all the effort that you did to make this country better I know that you are a busy person and I appreciate it.

Nevertheless, I am writing this letter to make you reflect about the current situation in the prison of Azkaban. As you know the prison was opened in 2002 and since that moment there have been an enormous amount of immoral actions such as torture and murder committed by employers of that prison.

The prisoners that go to Azkaban did not have a fair judgement so most of them are just suspects so they do not deserve that punishment.

Banksy

The first I saw a Banksy's graffiti was long time ago. I remember I was really surprised. The graffiti was in a wall of Israel and it shows  a little girl frisking a solider of Israel. Banksy became very popular because nobody knows absolutely nothing about him. The form he has to do the graffities is like as anyone graffitier, he draws in the night.

Banksy does graffitis in a lot of cities around the world. He express his opinion of the world with his art. One of the things that I really like of him is the form which he has of do a fantastic graffiti combined with humour and irony. 

TED Talk: Google's driverless car

How many people do you know that had any traffic accident ?
I am sure that the answere is more than one.
The video that I am going to explain was made by a Google's businessman who afflicted  that someone near him died because of a traffic accident.

When it happened he decided to begin a new project about a car driven by computers. One of the reasons of this project was because nearly 98% of  traffic accidents were caused by human errors that could be avoided with the correct technology.
Actually his project hasn't saved anybody yet, but it seems that they are going to reach that goal because they have already come up with a prototype of car that is driven by itself.

Human Rights

Human Right #1: We Are All Born Free and Equal.

 I've chosen this topic because it is the most widely known Human Right. Even if you don't know what  a Human Right is.
This is the Human Right that I'm more in favor of. I think the all the humans should have the same opportunities, and you should be defined by your skill and talent reather than by your place or origin.
Unfortunately, as all the other rights it is not fullfilled with in every country. There are many countries from the South of Africa that they don't respect that right and a lot of citzen are suffering that.

Article 17: Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.

News: 2015: "Birdman" wins best picture

The oscars were celebrated two weeks ago in hollywood. Wwith Neil Patrik Harris as a host. Where the nominations for the best movie were: Birdman, American Sniper, El Gran Hotel Budapest, The imitation game and Boyhood.

Finally won Birdman for the best movie of the year. Birdman is about an Actor and director who is pretty old and works on the Broadway theater.

He has a lot of family problems. He has split up with the mother of his daughter, and his daughter has problems with the drugs, but, bouth work in the same theater.

Riggan Thomson the actor and director is obsesed about be famous again after the movies of Birdman.

I really like that Birdman won the oscar, I think that this movies is the best of the year. The best aspect of the movie was the work that the director did in this movie. Birdman has an awesome sequence shot which are almost of 5 minutes.

Michael: So guys how do you find the sandwich?
Pol: Deem man, this is the best sandwich in the hood, isn’t it?
Jhonny: I don’t know mate, I think that the other nigga does it better.

Michael: yeah, but I don’t case, a part of that. I’m sure and nobody can change my mend.
Pol: but this operation is very complicated, and very expensive?
Michael: Yap but I have to dealing dope 3 or 2 months more and I have the money.

News: Is cheap oil killing the planet?

The oil suffered a very high reduction of its price and such reduction has been applied since 1990.
This reduction has cause all kind of reactions in the world, like for example as it was expected the people buy more oil so they spend more. Now that the oil is cheaper a lot of people won't be interested in electric or more efficient cars and that could be a problem. In a few years the Earth will be completely out of oil and and that will happen sooner because of the cheap oil.

I have read that this reduction of oil could be and strategy of USA against Russia, because for Russia make oil is more expensive than USA so Russia could lose a lot of money.

News: Harrison Ford used experience to land unpowered plane

The famous actor Harrison Ford, known by the famous saga "Indiana Jones", has crashed  a  "Ryan ST3KR" ,which is a vintage plane, while he was flying it. The plane had a engine failure, but thanks the skill of the actor, he has been available to land it on a golf course.

He has suffered some wounds because of the landing and he is at the moment in the hospital of Florida with his family. The doctors says that Ford has a  contusion and will be needed to be in the hospital.

This was an unexpected think to me. I hope he will recover from that accident.

News: Internet for everyone!

Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, is making a new project witch is make that everybody of the world can be connected to internet. He says that only 1/3 of the people has access to internet and this has to change, there are a lot of countries that lack of internet  and this Zuckerberg's project will make the infrastructure of internet cheaper so everybody could has access to it freely.

 But, first of all they have to talk with all the companies of the world and make an agreement, which is difficult because many of them will lose a considerable mount of money.

 I think that project could be a very good idea,
but I am afraid that it could not be possible, because there are a lot of companies the would lose money and will not be agree to do it.

ERB

ERB means "Epic Rap Battles" and It is a Youtube Channel that I have recently known and this channel has become my favourite channel by far.

ERB is a channel that its main videos are about take two historical characters and face them with a rap battles. I don't considere myself a fan of the rap, but the quality of the song that this channels makes and how well theses charecters are created, makes me be a super fan of that channel.

The video that I enjoyed more is one that makes face Mozart vs Skrillex. Theses two charecters are bouth musican, Mozart is from S.XVIII and Skrillex is a contemporany musician who is very popular.

Another think that I enjoy about this channel is that always is the people of the coments of the video who choose what charecters will be the next ones.

Breaking Bad Review

Do you like the series that have an exciting story that makes you be in front of the TV during whole the episode? Then Breaking Bad is a perfect series for you.

The serie tells the story of Walter White  , a chemistry teacher from a school in New Mexico. Afer his 50 Walter knows that has a cancer and he will probably die for it. Walter has a good family but they have a lot of debts and he knows that the will not survive without him.  So he makes a brutal change in his life and decided with the help of an old student manufacture amphetamines and make them sale.
Walter White and the student called Jesse Pinkman in my opinion are the best couple that I have ever seen in movies or serie. During the plot they face a lot of problems and saved each other more than once. Both of them have a very different personality.

So in conlusion I hope you have already saw it, or and if haven't seen it yet, make yourself a favour and what it.

News: Mobile World Congress

Like every year ,since 2008, at the beginning of March the Mobile World Congress comes to Barcelona which is the biggest congress in the world about mobile industry. It is there where all the companies show up their newest technology and gadgets. Normally it comes 85.000 visitors, which many of them are entrepreneurs that search finance for their projects, or are people who work mobile companies.

This year there are few companies that are presenting a new gadget, which is a virtual really headset for the mobile, this product has become very popular since Oculus Rift are developing it

I really like that congress like Mobile World Congress comes to Barcelona, I think that is a huge opportunity to promote the city and make more tourist come.

Oral Presentation: TDR

Presentation 10%: I used a prezi to do the presentation. Actually I think we did a good prezi with a really clever structure.

Body language & eye contact 10%:  I did a good explanation of nuclear waste and I keep the eye contact with the students 

Structure 10%: How is said the structure was really good and clever 

Content 40%: The content of the prezi was very complete, I explained all about my TDR and what were the result of it.

Language 20% The language of the prezi was complete and tecnical.

Pronunciation & intonation 10% I did not bad pronunciation but I could do it better. 

Personal experience with research project

My experience with my TDR has not been as good I wanted.
First of all, I choose it because it was a suggested topic and when I saw it, I thought it could be an easy and funny project to do.
But, a few months after choosing my topic I realised that it would be difficult to collect all the information  that I needed to complete the project.
So, because all the lack of information that it was in the internet. I had to do many interviews to the farmers that lived in Alt Empordà. And that was a huge task to do, so the project would be no longer easy and funny.
I consider my self a person kinda lazy, so in summer when it is suposed that I should find all the information to do the project, I just did the oposite and I left it for the last moment.
In conclusion, I think that I could do a very good project but, I wasn't constant and because of that my project had a worse mark.
